The road mishap was said to be caused by over-speeding.
The wounded persons, including women and children, were rushed to a nearby medical facility for treatment of their injuries.
The condition of wounded was said to be out of danger. Some of the injured were discharged after first aid treatment, hospital sources said.
The road was also blocked by the debris of the affected vehicle. Rescue teams removed the bus with the help of heavy machinery.
