SYDNEY: Australia leading England by 306 runs at stumps on the second day of the fifth Ashes test match here at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Saturday, ARY News reports.
The English side started the second day at 8/0. The team had no reply to the Australian bowlers and was back in the pavilion on the total of 155 runs.
More than half of the team could not even reach the double figures. Ben Stokes was the highest scorer for the team with 47 runs.
Australian pacers Mitchell Johnson, Ryan Harris and Peter Siddle took three wickets each.
The hosts have their eyes set on posing a huge target for the visitors. They ended the day's proceedings at 138/4.
