NORTH WAZIRISTAN: Security forces in wee hours of Thursday launched air strikes on militants’ hideouts in different areas of Miranshah, North Waziristan Agency, killing several militants, ARY News reported.
The air strikes were launched following tip-off of militants’ presence in the area. Bombings were carried out with the help of fighters jet and gunship helicopters. Sources informed that several militants were killed and injured in the air strikes.
Similar strikes were launched by security forces yesterday wherein at least 70 militants were killed in in North Waziristan. Scores of hideouts were destroyed in the wake of bombing by armed forces.
Curfew is still in place in areas of North Waziristan with no relaxation in it.
