FIR of Chehlum blasts filed
KARACHI: First Information Reports (FIR) of the four bomb explosions which took place on the Chehlum of Imam Hussain (R.A) and the martyrs of Karbala (R.A) has been filed on the grounds of terrorism here on Wednesday, ARY News reports.
FIR of two explosions, which took place in the area of Orangi, has been filed in the Mominabad Police Station on the compalaint of Sub-Inspector Mohammad Shafi. The FIR of the Qasba blast was reported against unknown persons on the complaint of SHO Peerabad Abdul Majeed.
According to investigating sources, similarities were found in all of the four bomb blasts and may include the involvement of a banned outfit.
Overnight, sources reported that several suspects were arrested when Law Enforcing Agencies (LEAs) raided the areas under the influence of the banned outfits and investigation was also held.
Yesterday, four explosions took place at M.A. Jinnah Road, Qasba Turn and Orangi Town No. 10 in which four people were killed. Investigation teams stated that the explosions were carried out via time devices.
Two kilograms of explosive materials were used in the Orangi blasts and also included nuts and bolts and ball bearings.
On the other hand, a case was filed against unknown persons in the firing incident near NIPA chowrangi in which four people, including a producer of a private TV channel, was injured.
