Fire erupts in Nazimabad garment factory, one dies
KARACHI: A man died by suffocation as fire erupted in a garment factory in Nazimabad area of Karachi, ARY News reported on Thursday.
According to details, fire erupted in a factory at Hadi Market of Nazimabad this morning.
Rescue and relief teams and fire fighting personnel rushed to the spot after the incident reported to them. Around 10 fire tendershave been engaged to extinguish the blaze.
A watchman of the factory lost senses, suffocated by the smoke of the blaze in basement of the building. He was later died in the hospital.
According to rescue officials, the fire was erupted at the basement of the factory building. Firemen facing difficulties to overcome the raging blaze due to lack of emergency exit in the building, rescue officials said.
The cause of the fire not established yet, officials added.
