Firing at blasphemous cartoon event in U.S., two gunmen killed

DALLAS, TEXAS: A police officer was injured whereas two gunmen were killed during an attack at a blasphemous caricatures event in Dallas, ARY News reports on Monday.

According to foreign media, two gunmen opened fire during the enemy due to which a security guard was injured. Both attackers were killed by the retaliatory fire.

The event was organized by American Freedom Defense Initiative and 75 people were attending the function at the time of the shooting.

The people were evacuated through buses whereas the nearby commercial centres were also closed after the firing.

It should be noted that 12 staff members of a French cartoon magazine Charlie Hebdo was killed in response to the blasphemous cartoons against the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) printed by the company in January this year.

The Charlie Hebdo cartoonist, known by his pen name “Luz”, has decided to not make any blasphemous caricatures.
