Firing injures four in Karachi, Lyari gangster killed

KARACHI: Four persons were injured in different firing incidents across Karachi whereas a gangster from Lyari was killed in a Police encounter at Lea Market, ARY News reports from Karachi.

 According to police sources, an exchange of fire took place between criminals and the police in which a gangster belonging to Lyari Gang War was killed whereas his accomplices managed to flee.

The body of the criminal was shifted to Civil Hospital. However, he has not been identified as of yet.

Armed gunmen, while riding a motorcycle, opened fire at policemen when being signalled to stop at Gizri area during snap checking. Cops arrested one of the motorcycle ridden gunmen in a wounded state after the exchange of fire. Arms were recovered from the injured. He was wanted for several criminal offences including street crimes, police said.

Police said that three persons were injured in a firing incident near the Nazimabad Bridge. The wounded persons were shifted to Jinnah Hospital for medical attention.

Another person was injured by firing in FC Area of Liaquatabad.

A wanted criminal named Azhar alias Charlie was arrested in an operation at Sharafi Goth area in Landhi.

Three suspects, including a worker of a political party, were arrested by Police at Ahsanabad near Sohrab Goth area.
