Firing on jirga leaves 4 dead in Jacobabad

JACOBABAD: At least four people were killed when armed men opened fire on a jirga in Jacobabad area, ARY News reported on Sunday.

A local influential tribal leader was also injured in the firing.

Police have cordoned off the area and began further probe.

A jirwa was held to settle land dispute within the remits of Mauladad Police Station, when armed men targeted it. Local tribal leader Sardar Noor Rehman Jakhrani among others was injured in firing. They were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital.

 Sardar Noor is a close relative of MNA Ejaz Jakhrani.
