Firing, violence claims nine lives in Karachi

KARACHI: Nine persons including a National Accountability Bureau (NAB) official and a police constable were killed in firing and other violent activities in different parts of Karachi, ARY News reports on Sunday.

According to police, NAB officer DSP Agha Jameel was killed when unknown persons opened fire at a hotel in Sharfabad area of Bahadurabad. He was targeted as he was having dinner at a restaurant.

Police Constable Naeemuddin was killed in a firing incident at Korangi  2 1/2.

A person named Shehzad was killed whereas another was injured by firing near Khajji Ground at Golimar.

Tortured corpse of a person was found from a slaughter house near Lyari area. Further two bodies were recovered in the jurisdiction of Pak Colony and Shershah Police Stations.

Another person, named Haroon, became a victim of unknown gunmen at Sector 11-L area of North Karachi.
