Five dead in Karachi killing spree

KARACHI: At least five persons were killed in the city in a ongoing incidents of violence on Thursday, ARY News reported.

According to police, a man was shot dead in Sikandarabad, Keamari, while another man was targeted in Orangi Town, Peerabad who was identified as Anwar.

Two bodies were also found from Kalapul and Keamari.

A man identified as Abdul Qadeer lost his life when unknown armed men opened fire on him near Malir Cantt.

Meanwhile, during a targeted raid by District East police, four criminals involved in target killing and extortion were nabbed. According to SSP East Pir Muhammad Shah, the arrested criminals were affiliated with a Lyari Gang War and a cache of weapons was also recovered from their possession.

New Karachi police also captured four criminals from Khameso Goth involved in street crimes. Landhi police also arrested three dacoits and recovered weapons from their custody. A gang war criminal Ifran Baloch was also nabbed by law enforcers from Lyari.

In similar raids, Rangers arrested over 30 suspects on charges of being involved in extortion collection and murders.
