Five hardcore terrorists hanged at Kohat jail

RAWALPINDI: Five hardcore terrorists, who were tried by military courts, were executed at district Jail Kohat on Wednesday, said a statement by the Inter Services Public Relations.

These terrorists include Shoukat Ali s/o Abdul Jabbar, Imdad Ullah s/o Abdul Wajid, Sabir Shah s/o Syed Ahmed Shah, Khandan s/o Dost Muhammad Khan and Anwar Ali s/o Fazal Ghani.

Shoukat Ali s/o Abdul Jabbar was an active member of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan. He was involved in attacking law enforcement agency and armed forces resulting in death and injuries to soldiers. He admitted his offences before the magistrate and trial court. He was tried on five charges and awarded death sentence.

Imdad Ullah s/o Abdul Wajid was also an active member of TTP. He was involved in destruction of an educational institution in district Buner and attacking law enforcement agency resulting in death and injuries to soldiers. He  was sentenced to death on five charges.

Sabir Shah s/o Syed Ahmed Shah, Khandan s/o Dost Muhammad Khan, and Anwar Ali s/o Fazal Ghani were active TTP members. They were involved in attacks on armed forces resulting in death and injuries to soldiers. They were tried on three charges and awarded death sentence after pleading guilty before the court.
