Five including two ASWJ workers gunned down

KARACHI: Violence and killing has remained relentless in Karachi, five including a woman were killed in different incidents on Sunday, ARY News reported.

According to police, two workers of Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) were gunned down when unknown miscreants opened fire near Vita Chowrangi in Korangi while two others got injured.

In another incident, unidentified armed men killed a FIA officer with gun shots in Surjani Town.

A tortured dead body of women was recovered from Sultanabad while a deceased body of a 7-year old girl was recovered from the water tank of a building in Baldia town.

On the other hand, Police arrested two suspected, allegedly belongs to Al-Qaida, from Methadar.

Police also recovered arms and grenades from the custody of arrested criminals.

Rangers spokesman informed that Rangers have conducted the targeted operation in Gulshan Mazdoor, Sharafi Goth, Faqeer Colony, Mominabad, Rbia City, Al-Falah Road, Lyari and arrested 15 suspects.
