Five terror suspects arrested in Karachi raid

KARACHI: Police arrested five activists of a banned organization during a raid in Karachi on Thursday night, ARY News reported.

According to Police, five activists of a banned outfit were taken into custody in a raid in Orangi Town. A number of weapons including Kalashnikovs, pistols, hand grenades and explosive material were recovered from the arrested men.

Police shifted the arrested men to an unknown location for questioning. Police also trying to capture the accomplices of the nabbed persons .

It should be noted that a targeted operation was initiated in Karachi led by paramilitary Rangers against criminal elements in September 2013 with the assistance of police to clean the city from a number of heinous crimes including targeted killings, extortion, terrorism and kidnapping for ransom.

Hundreds of terrorists and other criminals have been rounded up in raids having an impact on the law and order of the metropolis.

Police encounter

A drug dealer named Imran alias Decoration was killed in an encounter with police. The slain man was wanted to police for his involvement in several criminal cases, officials said.

Illegal weapons were seized from the slain drug dealer.

Moreover, a man was killed in a shooting incident in Liaquatabad.
