FO summons Indian diplomat over ceasefire violations

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday summoned the Indian Deputy High Commission and lodged a strong protest over ceasefire violations on the Line of Control.

Six civilians were killed and eight were injured after Indian forces opened unprovoked fire in the Nakial and Jamdrot sector along the Line of Control.

The Inter-State Public Relations had on Monday confirmed that four civilians were killed and six were injured in the exchange of fire between Indian and Pakistani forces.


Foreign Office spokesman Nafees Zakaria also said that ceasefire violations continued on Tuesday in the Charwa and Bhagsar sector on the Working Boundary.
