“Owing to unusually foggy conditions at Multan, after consultation with the Karachi administration and the latter’s reassurance of total support in matters of security and other issues, the event has been shifted from Multan to Karachi.

“Despite this unexpected development, the scheduled dates remain unchanged”, said the PCB spokesman. The tournament is scheduled to take place from December 31, 2014 to January 10, 2015.

The five participating teams for the event are Punjab Badshahs, Balochistan Warriors, Sindh Knights, Federal United and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Fighters. The top two teams emerging from the single league would qualify for the final. All top national players will be seen in action during the tournament.

The tournament is very important for Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Selection Committee, headed by Moin Khan, will have to take tough decisions after evaluating performance of the players during the domestic tournament to announce final squad for all-important World Cup before ICC deadline of January 7.
