Follow this traffic plan in Rawalpindi for Ashura

RAWALPINDI: The Traffic Police of Rawalpindi have given an alternate traffic plan for Muharram 10 (September 21, Friday).

According to details, a team of 847 traffic police personnel will be deployed across the city including 671 traffic wardens, 163 traffic assistants, six inspectors and seven deputy superintendents of police.

Traffic Plan:

  • For all vehicles coming towards Iqbal Road and DAV College Road:

For all kinds of traffic, Iqbal Road will remain closed from Committee Chowk and that DAV College Road will also be closed. Traffic will not be allowed to go towards Fawara Chowk from DAV College Road. All the traffic will be diverted towards Gowalmandi and Bhoosa Mandi.

  • For all vehicles coming towards Mashriq Hotel City Saddar Road:

Traffic will be diverted from Mashriq Hotel City Saddar Road, passenger vehicles will be diverted back towards Saddar and other cars will be permitted to proceed towards Mohanpura from where they will be allowed to move towards Pirwadhai via Novelty Cinema.

  • For all vehicles coming to Kashmir Bazaar:

Traffic will not be allowed to proceed to Kashmir Bazaar. A diversion will be put in front of the City police station as traffic coming from Novelty Cinema will be diverted to Ganjmandi

  • For all vehicles coming towards Shah Allah Ditta Road:

Diversion will be placed at Shah Allah Ditta Road and all types of traffic will be diverted towards Dhoke Dalal, Asghar Mall Road, T.B Hospital and Asghar Mall Chowk.

  • For all vehicles coming from Banni Chowk:

Traffic coming Banni Chowk and link roads will be diverted back from Roshan Bakery and will be diverted towards Saidpur Road and Circular Road to reach Murree Road and Liaquat Bagh.

  • For all vehicles coming from Hamilton Road:

Another diversion will be placed on Hamilton Road and traffic will not be allowed towards Bansa Wala Chowk and Dingi Koi. A diversion will be placed at Bansa Wala Chowk and no cars will be allowed towards Jamia Masjid Road as traffic will be directed towards Pirwadhai Road.

  • For all vehicles coming towards Imambargah Kadeemi and Imambargah Baltistani:

Traffic will not be allowed towards Imambargah Kadeemi and Imambargah Baltistani as it will be diverted from Pir Choha Chowk towards Pirwadhai and Asghar Mall Road.
