Stampede erupted in the PTI rally on Friday when people rushed to leave the venue after the gathering wrapped up. Scores of people were also injured in the stampede. PTI chief Imran Khan has accused the Punjab administration for being responsible of the incident.

Pervez Elahi said provincial administration knew that two exit gates were not sufficient for people to leave.

He claimed that the administration switched off lights when rally participants were leaving the venue. He laid entire blame for the tragedy on Punjab and Multan administration.

He said the proposed commission should bring the responsible elements to book

Elahi said regrets could not suffice the loss of lives in the Multan stampede tragedy.
