Speaking in ARY News special transmission, hosted by Mubashir Lucman, Mohammad Afzal Khan endorsed PTI Chief Imran Khan’s claim of rigging in election held last year.

“There weren’t only 35 punctures rather there were more than hundred”, he added.

He said bogus voting was carried in all constituencies except with those having cameras installed like Islamabad adding that the people’s mandate was stolen in the elections.

Former Additional Secretary ECP informed that former Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry deployed returning officers (ROs) although it was not his domain. He said election commission is responsible for the deployment of ROs.

He revealed that results were manipulated in Karachi as only party is strong there, it swept elections there accusing CEC Fakhruddin G Ibrahim was threatened by aerial firing in the metropolis.

Accusing Justice Riaz Kiani of being directly involved in rigging elections in Punjab, Afzal Khan said that he rigged 90 percent of last year’s general elections and he was directly appointed by current Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif while the PM also interfered in the appointment of Election commissioners of Balochistan and Sindh.

Khan said that judges were also involved in fixing the vote and that hearings of voter fraud was deliberately delayed.

Afzal Khan claimed that votes can be verified in seven days while here in this corrupt system a verification case which can be solved in 60 days was not solved even in 365 days.

Reacting to the interview, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan commended Afzal Khan and said that the former additional secretary’s remarks vindicates the stand that he has been taking. PTI chief said that all those involved in rigging must be hanged

Coming back to interview, Former Additional Secretary Election Commission categorically claimed that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has a fake mandate upon which the host Mubasher Lucman asked him again as if what he is claiming but Afzal Khan was adamant that Yes, the PML-N chief has a fake and bogus mandate.

ARY News anchor Kashif Abbasi opined that all those directly or indirectly involved in rigging should be brought to justice.

While PPP stalwart Qamar Zaman Kaira commented that his party is an oppressed political group and whoever oppresses the party meets his fate.
