Justice (Rtd) Nasim Hassan Shah was ill for quite some time, who passed away on Tuesday.
The former CJP was part of the bench which had sentenced the former prime minister, Z A Bhutto to death.
He had also invalidated the presidential ordinance under which the government of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was removed in 1993.
Shah also served as the chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has expressed grief over the demise of Dr Nasim Hassan Shah.
He has said that Justice (Rtd) Shah rendered praise-worthy services for the judicial system of Pakistan.
