The special court of ATC also announced punishment of seven years imprisonment and Rs0.5 million fine on him for possession of illegal weapon.
This should be noted that Rangers had raided MQM headquarters Nine-Zero on March 11, 2015, during which the MQM worker was killed. Rangers had arrested accused Asif Shah from interior Sindh and produced him before the court.

Amid the pushing and shoving between protesters and paramilitary men, gunshots were heard and the very next moment Shah was seen lying on the ground having fatal bullet wounds. DG Rangers Sindh categorically disputed the MQM’s claim that gunshots fired by Rangers man at party activist and said paramilitary forces do not use pistols.
