Former PTI Sindh president joins PPP

KARACHI: Former president Sindh of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Nadir Akmal Leghari on Thursday bid farewell to the party and joined the Pakistan People’s Party.

Leghari also met with with PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari where he announced to join the party. Leghari joined the PTI in 2010, and was elected president of Sindh chapter in March 2013.

Previously, he was part of the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) government in 2002 and served as the provincial minister for irrigation and power till 2007.

He lost his seat in Sindh Assembly from Ghotki to the PPP’s Sardar Ahmed Pitafi in the 2008 general elections and did not contest the 2013 elections.
