LONDON: In another controversial statement, Founder Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has termed ‘efforts and sacrifices of Muhajirs’ ancestors as a mistake by calling on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene, ARY News reported.

The statement made on Pakistan Day, on March 23, exposes the anti-Pakistan designs of the MQM-Founder as he seeks help of India against Pakistan. In his statement he laments,” our forefathers made mistake by founding Pakistan.”

The statement by founder of MQM declares people of Karachi as ‘refugees’ and makes an appeal to Indian prime minister to raise his voice for Muhajirs.

Rabita committee of MQM-P has strongly condemned the controversial statement of the London-based founder of MQM.

The committee said, “Muhajirs are patriot Pakistanis and their ancestors’ struggle for decades culminated in separate homeland for Muslims.”

The committee declared Modi a butcher of Muslims and said that hearts of Muhajirs beat for Pakistan by vowing to foil conspiracies against Pakistan and Muhajir community.

Separately, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI), Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP), and Awami Muslim League (AML) have termed the statement by founder MQM a conspiracy.

PSP leaders Anis Advocate and Raza Haroon said that such statements intend anarchy to prevail in the country by declaring founder MQM an agent.
