Four arrested over casting fake votes in cantonment elections

GUJRANWALA: Law enforcers on Saturday arrested four persons belonging to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) over casting fake votes in the local bodies elections of cantonment areas, ARY News reports.

According to details, PML-N and PTI supporters chanted slogans against each other after the two parties accused each other of casting fake votes in Gujranwala Cantt Ward No. 7.

Four people were arrested by the law enforcement agencies over casting bogus votes from the same ward as well.

Eleven people were taken into custody when PTI and PML-N activists clashed against each other in Ward No. 1 of Rawalpindi Cantt and Ward No.9 of Islamabad’s Wah Cantt.

Rangers arrested an independent candidate Hasnain Raza Gillani along with his father and brother over staging a protest at Ward No. 4 of Shorkot Cantt.
