Four killed in Karachi, several suspects arrested
KARACHI: Firing and violence related incident claimed four lives in Karachi whereas Law Enforcing Agencies (LEAs) nabbed 12 suspects from different areas of the metropolis, ARY News reports on Saturday.
According to police officials, 35 year old Haroon was killed when unknown gunmen opened fire at a shop at Sector 11-L in North Karachi.
Two tortured bodies were found in the jurisdiction of Shershah and Pak Colony Police Stations.
One person was gunned down by dacoits in the Meeran Naaka area of Lyari.
Two persons were injured while resisting robbery attempts at Paradise Bakery in Saddar and in the jurisdiction of Gulistan-e-Jauhar Police Station.
On the other hand, Special Investigation Unit (SIU) apprehended a criminal named Arif alias Sannataa from Gulshan-e-Hadeed area. According to SP Farooq Awan, arms were recovered from the criminal whereas he was involved in muder, murder attempts and other serious criminal offences.
Rangers arrested several suspects from different areas of Karachi including Lyari, Korangi and Gulshan-e-Hadeed. Sub-Machine Guns, Hand Grenades and other variety of weapons were recovered from the arrested persons.
Liaquatabad Police nabbed a dacoit in a wounded state and recovered weapons from the criminal.
