Four killed resisting robbery attempt in Lahore

LAHORE: Four people were killed and two other injured on Saturday while resisting a robbery attempt at a mobile phone shop, ARY News reported. 

The incident occurred in Millat Park area of Samanabad where two robbers who arrived on a motorcycle opened fire after reportedly facing resistance during a robbery attempt.

As a result four people including a father and son were killed, while two others were injured who have been shifted to hospital.

Police reached the scene of the incident. DIG Operation Haider Ashraf said that it was premature to tell whether it was an incident or robbery resistance or personal enmity.

He said that the situation will be cleared soon and the shop has been sealed and further investigation are underway.

Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has taken notice of the incident and ordered CPO Lahore to submit a report and arrest the culprits at their earliest.
