Police in Karachi killed four gangsters in shootouts and arrested two dacoits in injured condition.
The gangsters were killed in Lyari area after they opened fire on police. Two of the dead belonged to Baba Ladla gang while the other two belonged to Uzair Baloch, police said.
Police sources claimed that the gangsters were involved in murder, extortion, kidnapping for ransom and other crimes.
On the other hand, police raided a criminals hideout on Manghopir Road and arrested two dacoits in injured condition after a brief shootout. A number of arms and a motorcycle was recovered from the dacoits.
Rangers and police have intensified crackdown against criminals in Karachi arresting several target killers, extortionists, kidnappers and other criminals.
