KARACHI: Four out of 17 stranded Pakistani workers in Egypt returned to the country on Thursday evening, ARY News reported on Friday.

According to details, the four Pakistanis named Umar Ghauri, Tanveer, Mohammad Tariq and Samiullah returned to Karachi via flight of a private airliner. The ticket was provided by the federal government.

It should be noted that ARY News had raised the issue of 17 stranded Pakistanis in Egypt after which the government sprung into action.

It should be noted that a Kuwait-based shipping company had not paid the port charges due to which the ship is stuck in the open waters of Egypt for the past four months.

The corporation has also not paid their dues for the past four months which amounts to Rs. 20 million.

A foreign news agency reported that the workers are running out of food and other supplies of daily need. Six of the Pakistani workers were critically unwell as they do not have access to medical treatment.
