Six security men killed in Hangu convoy attack

HANGU: At least six security personnel were killed and several others were injured in a roadside blast near a passing convoy of security forces in Hangu, ARY News reported on Wednesday. 

A terrorism incident has occurred again despite a ceasefire announced by Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan (TTP), an umbrella group of the militant outfits. 

A roadside bomb targeted security forces convoy in Hangu district killing six Frontier Corps personnel.

A security forces' convoy was travelling from Hangu to Kurram region when it was targeted. Six soldiers were killed whereas eight others sustained injuries.

Sources said the vehicle was also damaged in the attack.

No group has claimed responsibility of the incident. 

Earlier, a court in Islamabad's F-8 area was attacked by militants in which 13 persons including a judge and scores of lawyers were killed and more than 30 persons were injured. 

Tehreek e Taliban had refuted involvement in the attack. A less-known group of militants Ihrar ul Hind hand claimed responsibility of the incident.
