SHEIKHUPURA: Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) gunned dead four terrorists in Sheikhupura, ARY News reported on Wednesday.
According to CTD, four terrorists were shot dead in an encounter near Sheikhupura Bypass whereas three of their accomplices managed to escape.
Large cache of weapons and explosives were recovered from the slain terrorists.
According to law enforcement sources, the terrorists were affiliated with a banned outfit.
It should be noted that all political stakeholders in Pakistan had agreed over the National Action Plan (NAP) against terrorism and the terrorist organizations after the Army Public School terrorist attack in Peshawar that claimed around 150 lives on December 16, 2014. Most of the victims of the attack were students.
Thousands of terrorists have been killed, executed or arrested in raids carried out under the action plan.
However, several political parties have complained that their activists being targeted under the NAP operations.
