Four tribesmen killed in South Waziristan ambush

WANA: Unidentified gunmen killed four tribal elders when they were returning back to home after a Jirga in Shaktoi area of South Waziristan tribal region, ARY News reported.

According to reports Malik Wali Khan, Jawad Khan, Akbar Khan and Afzal Khan were returning back to home after attending a jirga when unidentified attackers in an ambush opened indiscriminate firing at them, killing all of them on the spot.

All four slain men belong to the Mehsud tribe, which resides in mountainous Shaktoi region of South Waziristan.

The political administration of the tribal region has also confirmed the incident of firing.

In October last year seven personnel of the paramilitary Frontier Corps were killed in firing from the Afghan side of the border in Angoor Adda area of South Waziristan tribal region.
