Fourth ODI: New Zealand win rain-hit ODI

NELSON: New Zealand defeated West Indies in the fourth One Day International by 58 runs according to the Duckworth Lewis (D/L) method here on Saturday, ARY News reports. 

New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat first. The top order performed well and took the team to 285 runs in the allotted 50 overs. 

Martin Guptill was the stand out player for the team as he scored 81 runs. Jesse Ryder and Kane Williamson scored 47 runs each.

The West Indies openers started the reply in a poor manner as both were dismissed without scoring. 

They were at 134/5 as rain interrupted play. The match was abandoned and New Zealand were declared winner by 58 runs. 

Martin Guptill was named the Man of the Match for his innings.
