KARACHI: Chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain said on Sunday that it’s time to take some bold decisions; government, Pakistan Army and people have to take a stand against Taliban, ARY News reported.
While addressing to the rally organized by MQM to express solidarity with armed forces and back the operation against the Taliban, Altaf Hussain said whoever the friend of Taliban, is a traitor of Pakistan.
“Armed forces should launch attack against Taliban to counter terrorism and everyone will support them, as it’s now or never”, he added.
MQM Chief said he warned four years ago that Taliban gaining influence but wasn’t taken seriously, but now he has been proven right.
Altaf Hussain warned that Pakistan’s peace and security are under threat saying that it is important to take immediate measures to safeguard the stability and security of the nation.
The rally took place at Shahra-e-Quaideen, where a huge crowd of men, women and children gathered holding flag of Pakistan. Participants of rally chanted slogan ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ and paid tribute to security institutes of the country.
Besides MQM leaders Faisal Sabzwari, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and Haider Abbas Rizvi, Nihal Hashmi of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) also addressed the procession.
Furthermore, Sindh Police and Rangers expressed their gratefulness and appreciation for the solidarity with armed forces by MQM by holding a huge rally in Karachi.
