From the time Zainab got kidnapped to the day her killer got hanged

Kasur: A timeline of Kasur’s Zainab rape and murder case, the 7 year old girl who was mercilessly kidnapped, raped, strangled to death and thrown in a garbage heap by Imran Ali, her neighbor. 

January 4^th– Zainab went missing

January 9^th– Zainab’s dead body was found from a garbage heap 100 meters away from her house

January 10^th– Zainab’s funeral prayers were offered

The same day Chief Justice Saqib Nisar took suo moto action of the incident

January 10^th -Countrywide protests erupted

January 11^th– DNA matched

January 23^rd– Prime suspect Imran Ali arrested

February 13^th– Imran confessed to not only raping Zainab but 4 other girls; all aged 7.

February 14^th– Imran Ali’s lawyer refused to fight his case after his own confession

February 17^th, 2018- Imran Ali rewarded death sentence and Rs 4.1 million fine

October 17^th, 2018- Imran Ali hanged in front of Zainab’s father
