ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari here on Thursday said that their future strategy would bring ‘good news’ for the masses in the country, ARY News reported.

Talking to journalists in the Parliament, Asif Ali Zardari termed the all parties conference (APC) called by the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam – Fazl (JUI-F) successful and said that replacement of Senate chairman would prove their harmony.

Responding to a question, the former president said that they did not want to derail democracy in the country but only to topple the current government. Earlier on June 26, the opposition’s All Parties Conference (APC) had seen disagreement and disarray among its ranks when the members had reportedly discouraged demands of collective resignation from the National Assembly.

The Harbinger of the APC, Maulana Fazalur Rehman had taken centre stage after the prolonged meeting and announced points agreed upon by the political parties involved.

He had said: “The Federal Budget for the fiscal year 2019-20 is declared anti-people and would be opposed in unison by all political parties attending today’s meeting.”
