Gas station owners vow an indefinite strike

TOP NEWS

KARACHI: Owners of CNG stations and Karachi Transport Union, while expressing concerns on the new schedule of CNG stations closure, have announced that the gas stations strike will continue for an indefinite period till restoration of old schedule, ARY News reports on Saturday.

Half of the gas stations had re-opened in the city earlier today after two days closure whereas half of them remained closed. Vehicles were mostly seen at the CNG stations rather than the road.

Citizens are affected by the CNG stations strike. They had to wait for long time to find a conveyance for reaching their office. Taxi and Rickshaw drivers, while taking advantage of the situation, are taking fares according to their own desire.

Karachi Transport Union, in a notification, stated that the strike will continue until the old schedule is restored.
