LAHORE: Managing Director (MD) of Sui Northern Gas Company (SNGC), Arif Hameed has said that the gas supply through the pipelines that were blown away in Rahim Yar Khan, has been restored completely, whereas the incident caused Rs 7 crore of loss to the company – ARY News reports.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Arif Hameed told that the gas supply will be resumed to the textile industry in the evening today, whilst the supply to industrial sector will be increased with the fading away of winter season in March.
He added that securing the entire length of the gas pipelines is impossible, yet the security will be heightened in sensitive areas.
The MD SNGC told that the gas shortfall still exists at 1200 MMcf.
Earlier, the miscreants had bombed 3 gas pipelines passing through Rahim Yar Khan halting the gas supply to Punjab.
