Gen Bajwa visits PMA Kakul, urges cadets to strive for excellence

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday visited Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army chief was briefed by commandant Major Gen Akhtar Nawaz Satti on various functional aspects of the academy for professional grooming of the cadets.

Talking to the faculty and cadets, Gen Bajwa emphasised on striving for professional competence, leading the men from front, and upholding the virtues of honour, integrity, selfless devotion and rich traditions of Pakistan army.

He reminded them to follow the dictum, “the honour and security of the country always comes first, the honour, safety and welfare of the soldiers comes next and the comfort of officers comes last always and every time”.

Resolve problems of army martyrs’ families

Earlier this month, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa spent a day with families of army martyrs and officers at General Headquarters.

The army chief interacted with each of them individually and was updated on their well being and problems.

Gen Bajwa gave on spot directions to assist them in resolving their problems. The army chief told them the army and the nation cannot thank them enough for the sacrifices rendered by them.

He said that the army shall continue to take care of the families of the martyrs. The families of the martyrs thanked the army chief and vowed to stand by the institution as one family.
