RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army’s Corps Commanders Conference began on Friday with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif in chair, ARY News reported.
The meeting discussed the country’s internal security situation, professional matters of the military and the ongoing dialogue with the militants, sources said.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's government has resumed dialogue with Taliban militants and according to reports it wants the military to join a committee holding dialogue with Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan. According to sources, the military commanders will likely to discuss the matter in this meeting.
