General Raheel Sharif leaves for KSA on 2 days official tour
ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Raheel Sharif has departed for the Kingdom of Saudi-Arabia (KSA) on a two day official visit, where he will observe 'Shamsheer of Abdullah' war exercises by the Saudi armed forces – ARY News reports.
According to details, the Army Chief was invited to visit Saudi Arabia by the Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister, Prince Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud.
General Raheel Sharif will observe the war exercises along with the Prince of Bahrain, Crown Prince of United Arab Emirates (UAE) and other Commanders of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
Earlier to this, senior military officials saw off the Army Chief at the PAF Base Nur Khan (previously known as PAF Base Chaklala), while leaving for Saudi Arabia.
