ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan, in a surprising revelation, said Jang and Geo group was involved in rigging the May 11 general elections under a pre-meditated conspiracy, ARY News reported Friday.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, the PTI chief announced to boycott Geo-Jang group on account of its alleged involvement in influencing general elections that were held on May 11, 2013.

“Actual rigging started after Nawaz Sharif’s address which was based on just 18 per cent results, at Geo TV,” said Khan.

Geo TV employee was rewarded Pakistan Cricket Board chairmanship in response to rigging the elections, he said without naming Najam Sethi.

He reiterated that Jang and Geo group had harmed the democracy. None of our party worker or leader will participate in a Geo TV program from this point on, he announced.

While appealing the Supreme Court of Pakistan to investigate rigging of May 11 elections, he said the SC must get the votes rechecked in four constituencies mentioned by the PTI.
