German chancellor Merkel tops Forbes’ list of 100 powerful women
According to details, Angela Merkel has again been placed at the top of 100 powerful women list for adopting policies considered highly suitable for her country.
Former US Foreign Secretary Hillary Clinton is second and Melinda Gates, wife of Microsoft founder Bill Gates, has been placed at third position.
Chairman of the Board of Governors of the United States Federal Reserve System Janet Yellen grabs the fourth spot while Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of General Motors Mary Barra came fifth.
Michelle Obama, wife of US President Barack Obama, was at tenth place while philanthropist and media proprietor Oprah Winfrey was at 12th place.
Overall, eight female heads of states are included in the Forbes list.
