ISLAMABAD: A court hearing Abdul Rasheed Ghazi murder case rejected a petition of former president Pervez Musharraf seeking permanent exemption from the hearing, ARY News reported on Thursday.

Pervez Musharraf failed to appear before Additional Sessions Judge Islamabad Wajid Ali in Abdul Rasheed Ghazi murder case.

The counsel of Musharraf while submitting a plea for exemption to the court said that the former president could not appear in the court due to security and health reasons.

The court dismissed the plea and ordered the former military ruler and his two guarantors to appear before the court on June 12.
