Gladiators’ players return to Pakistan

KARACHI: Quetta Gladiators Pakistani players returned Karachi and Lahore after the team booked its seat for Pakistan Super League final beating Peshawar Zalmi in Sharjah.

Cricket legend and Gladiators’ mentor Sir Vivian Richards has also said to visit Lahore for the PSL final.

Gladiators’ captain Sarfaraz Ahmed with three other teammates, has reached Karachi from the UAE.

Asad Shafiq, Anwar Ali and Noor Wali are other three members of the team, who reached Karachi with Sarfaraz Ahmed.

Quetta’s head coach Moin Khan has also reached Karachi.

Five other members of the PSL finalist, opener Ahmed Shahzad, Saad Naseem, Zulfiqar Babar, Umar Amin and Mohammad Nawaz have landed in Lahore with bowling coach Abdul Razzaq.

Quetta Gladiators defeated Peshawar Zalmi in an engrossing match, winning with single run to qualify for the PSL final.

Karachi Kings after beating holders Islamabad United in a low-scoring match on Wednesday night, will now play against Peshawar Zalmi in Dubai on Friday, for the second slot of the Pakistan Super League final, which will be played at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, on March 05.
