ISLAMABAD: As the hearing session on Panama Papers implementation case is underway in the Supreme Court on Monday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Babar Awan says if one more judge votes for Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s disqualification today, the top court has to adopt the popular slogan ‘Go Nawaz Go’.

Talking to media during the hearing session outside the apex court, he asserted that two judges of the five-member bench had already dissented by noting that the premier was no more trustworthy and loyal to the nation. “If one more judge today disqualifies him, ‘Go Nawaz Go’ [slogans] would be heard from the Supreme Court as well,” Awan added.

He claimed that the PML-N leadership is getting divided on PM’s resignation matter while asserting that the entire nation has full confidence in the Supreme Court and its proceedings in the high-profile case.

Joining in conversation, PTI leader Naeem-ul-Haque said the premier has violated the constitution and the public’s trust as what he said the PM lied to the cabinet.

Reiterating the call for PM’s resignation, he said the top court’s decision in the case will set a guidance precedent.

On Sunday, PTI leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi chanted ‘Prime Minister Imran Khan’ slogans while addressing party workers convention in Islamabad.

Qureshi confidently claimed that Imran Khan will take oath as the PM of Pakistan in few weeks.
