Government bounds PTI rally with certain restrictions

ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said on Thursday that government has granted the conditional permission to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) for holding rally at D-Chowk, Islamabad, ARY News reported.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Thursday, Nisar Ali Khan said PTI can hold rally but no one would be allowed to enter Red Zone.

The Minister said the participants of the rally would not be allowed to bring arms, fireworks and explosive material with them. He said women with the infants cannot be permitted to participate in the rally.

Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said the rally can enter the capital through designated routes which will be advertised. He said instead of D Chowk, the stage of the public meeting will be set up at one hundred meter from Express Chowk.

Nisar informed that government has designed the foolproof security plan for the rally.

“There will be comprehensive three tier security in Islamabad by Police, Rangers and Frontier Constabulary. Walkthrough gates will also place at the entrance”, he added.
