Government should ensure ceasefire before talks: Sherjeel Memon

HYDERABAD: Sindh Information Minister Sherjeel Inam Memon suggested on Saturday that a cease fire agreement should be signed with Taliban before initiating talks to get rid of any terrorist act like of CID SP Chaudary Aslam, ARY News reported.

He said that it is not possible that terrorist continued doing heinous activities and we keep waiting to negotiate with them as there wasn’t anything in the All Parties Conference.

While speaking to media, after expressing condolence over Senator Maula Bux Chandio’s mother death at his residence in Hyderabad, he said many other police officers are fighting against the terrorists just like Chuadary Aslam, who would continue to work on counter-terrorism.

The Minister said intelligence is working to find out that who is backing terrorist and providing explosive material to them.

About LG elections, the minister said that Sindh government has completed the preparations but some political parties contact court over different issues and now the elections were not going to be held at least until February. 

“We don’t have any rivalry with MQM rather having some political differences and our doors are still open to have talks with them”, said Memon.
