Government, Taliban teams meeting today
ISLAMABAD: A joint meeting of the government and Taliban committees has been summoned today to discuss the issues related to the dialogue process, ARY News reported on Saturday.
Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali will preside over the meeting that will discuss extension in ceasefire and other matters.
The meeting likely to decide the date and venue for direct talks with Taliban leadership.
Maulana Yousuf Shah, a member of Taliban committee, has said that the meeting will take important decisions with regard to the dialogue process.
According to the interior ministry, the meeting will consider matters relating to next phase of direct talks with the Taliban.
The upcoming government committee’s direct meeting with the Taliban Shura is likely to bring a positive development.
