Government temporarily reacting to terrorism incidents: Rustam Shah Mohmand
PESHAWAR: Member of Government's team for peace talks, Rustam Shah Mohmand has said that the Government is reacting to the recent terrorism incidents in the country and this is temporary for it believes in resolving issues through negotiations – ARY News reports.
In his exclusive word with ARY News on Monday, Rustam Shah Mohmand told that the killing of 23 Frontier Constabulary (FC) men at the hands of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, Mohmand Agency chapter is a major incident and the Government is retaliating to recent incidents of terrorism in the country.
He added that the current strikes by the Government are temporary and it still believes in resolving the issue through dialogue.
Rustum said that it would be a positive gesture if Government and Taliban committees reunite.
The member of Government team said that he has also coordinated with Federal Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and expressed his hopes for a better outcome.
Moreover, he mentioned that many of Taliban leaders are in favor of pursuing negotiations with the Government.
