KARACHI: On the occasion of 78th Pakistan Day, Governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair along with City Mayor, cabinet members, and Rangers officials visited mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah today (Thursday), ARY News reported.

While paying rich tribute to the founding leader Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair laid floral wreath at his tomb and offered fateha.

Talking to media, Muhammad Zubair urged entire nation to work for prosperous and peaceful Pakistan by fulfilling the dream of founding leader.

The governor also penned his comments in the visitor’s book.

The Pakistan Day is celebrated each year by the nation on March 23 to commemorate the historic Lahore resolution that was passed on the same day in 1940, calling for a separate homeland for the Muslims of the sub-continent. An important development in the politics of that era, the Pakistan Resolution (as it became known subsequently) was an important step towards the creation of Pakistan.
