ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar on Saturday said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has given a package of Rs180 billion for export promotion.
He said this in a meeting with a delegation of All Pakistan Textile Processing Mills in Islamabad.
During the meeting, matters in respect of textile exports, taxes and proposals for the next budget came under discussion.
He said that while finalizing the budget, proposals of the delegation will be given due consideration.
Meanwhile, a delegation of fertilizer sector also called on the finance minister.
The minister on this occasion said that the government is providing subsidy on fertilizers to facilitate farmers.
He said during the current fiscal year, agriculture sector performed with 3.46 percent growth rate while overall GDP growth rate remained 5.28 percent.
